How long?
Our package for Kazbek is 5 days, not including transportation to and from Kazbegi (Stepantsminda), which we are happy to arrange for you. This includes a weather day and a day of training with crampons and ice axe on the glacier. Click here for itinerary.
Difficulty?
Climbing Kazbek with our guides doesn’t require a wide array of technical skills, but the climb is physically demanding and requires use of ropes, crampons, and ice axe. As long as your fitness level is good enough, this climb is suitable for beginners.
Equipment?
Technical outerwear, basic climbing equipment, boots, crampons, and ice axe are necessary. We provide tents and ropes. You can find a detailed equipment list here
How Do I Get There?
You can either arrange your own transportation from Tbilisi or elsewhere to Stpantsminda, or we can create a package that includes all accommodations and transportation with our own driver. In either case, please see the “Getting there” page for general information.
